Microsoft tried really hard to accommodate the gaming community on Windows 10. In Windows 10, the Xbox app returned bigger and stronger than it was in Windows 8. Part of the attempt to make console gamers feel like home, Microsoft has implemented a feature called Game DVR in Windows 10. What is Game DVR? Game DVR…
The videos are probably lagging because your PC specs are too low to be recording gameplay. What specs do you have?
Windows + R is the command to open run prompt. The command for Game DVR is Windows + G
Yes, this is just a workaround to not being able to use it at all.
Then I suggest you use any other screen recording program because it seems to me that this workaround got patched in the later builds of Windows 10.
Press “Windows” + “R” and type in “Regedit”. Go to the following address: “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControl”.
Double click on the “PortableOperatingSystem” Entry on the right side and change the value data from 1 to 0.
Open Task Manager and end the “Broadcast DVR Server” Process.
Now open up Game Bar DVR and check if it works.
This option is not available on unsupported hardware.
how can i change the frame rate to 60fps
no longer works in 1809 build.
The quality is terrible. I changed the resolution to 1920 x 1080 to match my screen but is still bad.
For some reason I am unable to reply. Third attempt:
- CPU: Intel i5 7400 @ 3 GHz
- GPU: GeForce 1030
- RAM: 8 GB
Try ending the Broadcast DVR server and open Game DVR and check fi doing just that fixes the issue.
Not working. That registry key is already set to 0, tried resetting to 1 and restarting GameBar.exe, then setting back to 0 and doing everything again, waste of time. Now I am on 1903 build, still same problem. GameDVRConfig method used to work on earlier builds (though not sure when exactly it stopped, as I don’t use the feature too often, but I do need to record my screen from time to time).
Is there a specific error that you are encountering? this solution should allow you to record on unsupported hardware.
i still cant record
