I will try this as well.
I have the album art as a jpg. I add it as instructed. I add
some text to trigger the “Save metadata” option. The jpg appears as
the file plays (at this moment). When I close the file and reopen it…
nothing!! I found a fix for this years ago but forgot. Now this is not working
for me. Ver 3.0.14. Also … is this artwork embedded in the file? When I send
it on, I want the new user to get the art I saved. Help!!
Ahh ok. Thx. I notice you also have to wait for the file to play a bit before quit. Also when I copy the mp3 file to another drive the album art cover doesn’t stay with the mp3 on all files. is there any supporting files? Some mp3’s seem to have attached art but idk how.
Best instrucitons ever! Bless you

Hey Mike,
There is another software that you can try to modify the properties and cover art of your MP3 file, follow the steps below:-
- Download the software from this link: Mp3tag - Thanks for using Mp3tag
- Once the program is downloaded, Install it and open the program.
- Now drag the mp3 file you want to edit and drop it inside the program.
- Now it should allow you to edit the properties of that file if you just want to add cover art.
- Scroll down till you find a CD Picture, right-click on it and click “Add Cover”.
- Simply select the image you want to put as a cover.
- Once that’s done click on the save button under the title bar.
- That’s it simply save the file and check to see if your issue is resolved.
Thanks. I’ll give it a try.
You have to type something in the section “Artist” after that an option named “Save Metadata” will appear along with the close button. Just press it and you should be good to go.
with VLC: 6. Click on “close” and the image will be implemented as the Album art automatically. But when I reopen the mp3 file the Album Art .JPG isn’t there…
