hello im trying to press f8 from long time but still … is not working
It especially happens with LENOVO Pads/Books due to Registering your “Fingerprint” into system and deleting the Fprint s/w or Uninstalling Fprint s/w (which is already present in sys) without registering your Fprint.
This causes windows REG>>Profilelist damage
Thanks a lot for posting this, it helped resolve me a problem with a brand new imaged laptop and the first time user logon.
It is safe to run, but it is not necessary.
Hi Kevin, I just ran into this issue today and I suspect the culprit was 9 Windows Security Updates that were applied the other night. I did a System Restore using Safe Mode with Networking and now I’m back in.
QUESTION: Do I really need to run REIMAGE REPAIR? I assume this is a 3rd party application. Is it necessary to run and more importantly is it SAFE to run?
Thanks!
Sorry if this is a old topic, but i’m trying to fix my nephew’s laptop. I thought it would be as simple as booting the laptop into safe mode and creating a new admin account from there. But what i found is that even after booting the pc in safe mode it just takes me back to the same user profile screen only to give me the same message after i attempt to log in?
It worked!!! I was terrified! You are a true guardian angel! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! xxxxxxx
Hello. I’m having the same issue (error message at the logon) but tapping (1 sec intervals) and holding down F8 are not sending me to the Safe Boot menu. is there another way to get there? I have a Dell Latitude E6420 running Windows 7 home premium.
Hello. I am having the same issue. When I attempt to logon the error message “The User profile Service service failed the logon. User profile cannot be loaded” appears. I have tried to tap(1 second intervals before the laptop comes on and at the BIOS menu) and hold F8 but that does not send me to the Safe mode menu. I have a Dell Latitude E6420 running windows 7 home premium. Is there another way to get to the safe mode menu?
