How to Increase a Dedicated Video RAM (VRAM) in Windows?

This only works on integrated GPUs and there is a limit to using the amount of VRAM with your GPU. You can increase the VRAM from your Registry to as much as you prefer but this doesn’t actually increase the VRAM it just fools an application into thinking that you did.

This only works for inbuilt GPUs and the VRAM cannot be increased for GPUs from Nvidia or AMD

Does the 2nd method work on amd??

I have an Intel graphics 620 graphics card with a Dynamic Video Memory of 4158 MB, my total RAM is 8 Gb, but my dedicated VRAM is 128 Gb, the game I want to play requires 1 Gb. When I went on the Intel FAQ it says my computer can use a maximum of one-half of system memory (8Gb), which would mean I could use a maximum of 4Gb or 4000MB, but here it says I can only set a maximum of 512MB, my question is, is it possible for me to set my VRAM to 1000MB using the Registry Editor?

We wouldn’t recommend doing that as it can cause many issues with the computer. Decreasing the shared memory would actually result in worse performance. For Nvidia Cards its actually not possible. Only possible for integrated GPUs that come with the processors that is done by going into “Advanced Bios Features” as indicated in this article. It can be reverse used to decrease memory

Abybody knows how to decrease “shared sysyem memory” with Nvidia cards and Win10
?
Thanks
