Hi, I’m having the exact problem as yours, did you solve it? I cannot find any solution…
Hi Tom, solution 3 is the one i sent to Luther.
what is the error message?
For solution 1 the commands are not going thru please help
I’ve updated the guide with Solution 3.
Ive been emailing Dell back and forth, this is a brand new laptop that I just got back from them because they had to replace some parts. They suggested doing alt+f on startup, but that didn’t do anything either. Im waiting to hear back from them, but Im afraid they are going to tell me to do what you suggested in your email.
I will need to update this guide with a new method. In the mean while, i have sent you an email with the link and the steps.
It depends, sometimes it will flash the home page that shows the time on the left and the power button and the wifi signal at the bottom right hand, but its so quick you cant do anything. If I click ok a bunch of times it will start loading and then just go back to the same page that’s pictured above.
what happens when you click ok?
This is what it looks like.
which ok button? can you take a picture and upload here
No it just blinks when I hit the ok button.
does it gives an option to choose restart?
Are you at the login screen?
Windows 10 is what im using, but there is no option to restart when I hold the shift key and turn the power on.
you need to do this at the login screen, this guide is for Windows 10 only. Holding the shift key and choosing restart would boot the system into advanced mode.
As far as solution one there is no shut down or restart option on the the administrator disabled is shown.
Solution 1 really save my day. Thanks a lot!
Thanks for the suggestion.
