Try the steps indicated in this article:

No, you should not be seeing atikmpag.sys, that’s just the file name. Yes, please uninstall and reinstall the latest driver.

When I’m in the device manager should I be seeing “atikmpag.sys” as a display adapter? I only see one option - “ATI Radeon HD 4200” under display adapter. Should I uninstall this “ATI Radeon HD 4200”?

Follow steps from here: Fix: VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE (ATIKMPAG.SYS) IN WINDOWS 8.1/10 using the DDU utility in Safe Mode to uninstall the driver and then reinstall it.

Hi, I did all the steps and keeps on giving the same problem and I have no clue how to deal with it

I use personally pin code for log in, when starting in safe mode I had to login with e-mail password instead of pin

Thank you, worked perfectly! Only thing that struggled was pressing f8 while rebooting, I restarted while pressing shift as workaround.

Hi goodevening Ive tried system restore and it works perfectly thanks

Are you able to login to the normal mode?

atikmdag.sys is the display driver.

How do you know which driver is conflicting?

I tried this and I got to the point where I restart in safe mode however it tells me my password is incorrect even though I know for a fact it is. I can’t get into my computer :frowning:

Thank Kev, problem solved less than 15mnts. effortlessy done

okay I got the install manager uninstalled in normal mode, just downloading new drivers now, thanks for the help

Did you disable the driver signatures before booting into normal mode?
If it can’t uninstall the driver in Safe Mode, try rolling back to a previous version.

though it did actually boot up so i’m attempting again

just tried that and it crashed before i could attempt
