Fix: Windows 10 stuck in Welcome Screen

Option 2: Command Line Repair -> FIX: Boot Configuration Data File is Missing

Yes allright

That may be a problem, but we can try a couple of steps:
Hold the Windows Key and Press R. Type devmgmt.msc and Click OK.
Look for any drivers or devices, with yellow marks, right click and choose uninstall.
Then, do a clean boot and tell me if that improves anything?

Right, so I am in event viewer now but i dont know what i’m exactley looking for? There are a few errors (with a red ‘’ !! ‘’ icon. And a few with a yellow triangles with ‘’ !! ‘’ icons. I could make a screenshot but I’m Dutch so i’m afraid you would not be able to understand any of the language. What data do you require to help me further?

Edit: All mentioned above is seen under the tab ‘’ system ‘’ in Windows Logs.

Please boot into Safe Mode with Networking (and then tell me) if it works fine in Safe Mode? If yes, Hold the Windows Key and Press X -> Event Viewer -> And go through the Windows Logs (filter and sort it out by time) when it appears to have stuck and tell me if you can find anything?

try doing a clean boot.

Our desktop is doing this. Boots and freezes, so we push reset and then it works. Seems like some kind of thing that could be resolved easily that they have yet to fix.

If it has now booted to desktop, can we assume that the issue you were having is resolved? Thanks

Hello James. Can you please refer to this article?

It covers the problem you are having.

I am sorry for the delay in responding to your query. Is the issue still on going?

Do a Power Cycle. Follow steps here: https://appuals.com/fix-laptop-will-turn/

I have had similar problems, my Asus laptop suddenly froze on log screen,it would just buffer and I could not click anything, as it was stuck on lock screen with just my account name, I have tried several things to fix this , how do I solve this and what caused it

Thank you

Reboot and choose the CD to be booted from BIOS

My screen has no power button showing. What now? Will not boot the CD either.

A usb or a cd/dvd containing the ISO the installation files required to repair windows.

What is a bootable media? I followed the steps above and got the message “Automatic Repair couldn’t repair your PC” Press “Advanced options” to try to repair your PC or “Shut down” to turn off your PC. Log file C:WINDOWSSystem32LogfilesSrtSrtTrail.txt

During the repair mode, are you able to get into advanced mode to do a system restore?

It could be due to an update. It is best to do a clean reinstall using a bootable media
