Yes, it should. but be sure to take a back up.
Does the registry solution works for win 10 64?
I love how even after all these years…
Microsoft STILL HAVENT FIXED THE ***** WIFI CONNECTION ISSUES.
We still have ‘Heres how to fix your connection issues/ip conflicts/unerect penis’ coupled with 'its totally your fault. not microsoft, you.
Its ***** not. Ive had the exact same issues ive always had on several machines across all versions of windows ive always had.
These ***** want to force crap broken updates onto my machine yet i still cant go a couple of days without a good hour or so of ‘connected’ ‘not connected’ ‘there are no connections’ ‘you do not have a wifi card installed’ rinse and ***** repeat.
So sick of this ***** . (Lol two more drop outs as i write this. Oh and this time its the good ol ‘connection shows, but it totally has no reception what so ever’
I am now 100% sure that the issue is with your modem, trying to establish connection with the ISP and whilst it does that, the ethernet ports become in-active which is why the PC doesn’t detect anything until the connection is established by the modem, you should be able to see this in the logs as well. So the solution to fix this is either a UPS or a new modem with battery backup (cheaper) and reliable then a UPS.
Or just put the modem into bridge mode and get a real router for my setup. I been meaning to do this for a long time now but just never got around to doing it. I also have an Asus gigabit switch in between the modem and this PC, but I doubt that matters much. Thanks for the replies.
OK, none of my machines do. I have to force the connection with either network diagnoses or reboot. Maybe it takes much much longer to auto connect and I just haven’t given it the time to do so?
I can connect to wireless networks just fine but it doesn’t do it automatically and I have to put the password every time I boot my computer. Here is a screenshot scrolled as far down as it goes.
I have updated the articles, and added a short animation. This should help.
I can’t forget the network because I can’t find Manage known networks, it simply is not there. There is only Wi-Fi sense and Paid Wi-Fi services.
No worries, looking forward to hear the results after the sfc check with this setup, it doesn’t sound promising but try it and see.
Disable the bridge.
And run the following command in (command prompt) administrator
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
Post back the results of the command.
No, both the wifi adapter and the bridge are directly connected to my only router
Are you sharing the wifi over ethernet from another computer and then using your Windows 10 system to connect to the wifi using the adapter?
When was the last time it worked?
Are you also connected via LAN?
Nope.
João Pedro
Nope, WiFi only.
I did. Forgeting the network works sometimes, but it’s just not practical to do it every time. Preventing the WiFi adapter from turning off might work, too, but my problem arises more frequently on manual or unexpected shutdowns, not on wake-ups. And I do already have a subkey in the WcmSvc, named WCMPresent.
Did you follow all the methods listed? Thanks
And if you put a password on the router after the reset does it then connects?
